Medical video production is the planning, filming and editing of videos for hospitals and clinics, from short doctor-led patient-education reels to hospital advertising videos and facility walkthroughs. Adserr provides medical video production in Kochi, filming on location at hospitals and clinics across Ernakulam and Kerala. We script with your doctors, film with care for patient privacy and infection-control rules, edit in Malayalam, English and Arabic, and deliver versions sized for YouTube, Instagram, WhatsApp, waiting-room screens and ads.

Why video matters for healthcare

Patients want to see the doctor before they meet the doctor. A two-minute video in which an orthopaedic surgeon explains, in plain Malayalam, what happens during a knee replacement and how long recovery takes answers questions that a page of text cannot. It also reduces anxiety, which matters for surgery, fertility treatment and children's care.

Video also travels. Families in Kerala share useful health videos on WhatsApp, and relatives in the Gulf watch them before advising parents at home. A well-made explainer can keep being shared for years.

  • Final files delivered to you, with ownership of the footage agreed in writing

How a video project works

  1. Brief. We agree the purpose of each video, the audience and where it will be used.
  2. Script. We draft from a conversation with the doctor, using the words patients actually use. The doctor checks every medical statement.
  3. Plan the shoot. We coordinate with hospital administration on timing, locations, infection-control requirements and which areas may be filmed.
  4. Film. We batch several videos per shoot day to respect the doctor's OPD schedule.
  5. Edit and review. You see a draft cut, with one or two rounds of changes.
  6. Deliver and publish. We provide final files and, if you use our hospital social media or healthcare advertising services, schedule them, and promote hospital and department videos rather than videos that promote an individual doctor.

Who medical video is for

  • Eye hospitals explaining cataract and refractive surgery to anxious patients
  • IVF centres, where doctor-led explanations build trust over a long decision period
  • Physiotherapy clinics sharing exercise and rehabilitation guidance
  • Multispecialty hospitals building a library of department explainers
  • Hospitals and clinics building a library of doctor explainers through doctor branding, with each doctor's name, qualifications and registration number shown

Filming in hospitals: privacy and compliance notes

Filming in a clinical setting has responsibilities that ordinary commercial shoots do not:

  • Patient privacy first. No identifiable patient appears in a promotional or public video, because the NMC's October 2026 guidelines say patient details such as names and faces should not be shared publicly (clause 7.4). Shoots are planned so that faces, names, screens and records are not visible, and demonstrations use staff or actors rather than patients. Data-protection law, including the DPDP Act 2023 as its Rules are phased in, applies to any personal data captured.
  • Infection control and safety. We follow the hospital's rules for ICUs, operation theatres and other restricted areas, and film there only with permission.
  • No cure claims. Scripts avoid promises of outcomes, keeping the Drugs and Magic Remedies Act and ASCI code in mind.
  • Doctors educate, not solicit. Doctor-led videos focus on information, without self-promotion or promotional portrayal of an individual doctor (NMC guidelines, clauses 8.1(ii) and 8.3(ii)).
  • No patient stories or testimonials in promotional video. Under the NMC's October 2026 guidelines, consent alone does not make a testimonial or success story acceptable (clause 6.2); patient cases belong only in strictly scientific or educational material, anonymised and with consent (clause 8.1(v)).
  • Specialty limits: no sex-selection references in fertility content under the PCPNDT Act; no disease-cure claims in ayurveda content under AYUSH rules.
  • No synthetic people. AI avatars, cloned voices or AI-made footage must not be presented as a real doctor or patient (NMC guidelines, clause 7.2(b)), and any AI-generated material in a promotional video carries a clear AI source mark (clause 7.2).

How we measure video success

  • Views and average watch time on YouTube and social platforms
  • Video-driven enquiries: calls, WhatsApp clicks and form submissions from pages and ads that feature the video
  • Search visibility of YouTube videos for condition and procedure questions
  • Shares and saves, which show content people found useful
  • Use in practice, such as front-desk staff sending pre-operative videos to patients on WhatsApp

We do not promise view counts or viral reach.

Why choose Adserr for medical video production in Kochi

A healthcare video crew needs to know when to stop filming, how to keep a corridor shot free of patients and how to put a busy consultant at ease in fifteen minutes between OPD sessions. Because we work only with healthcare clients and are based opposite Aster Medcity, filming at hospitals across Kochi, from Kalamassery to Vyttila, is straightforward for us rather than a special trip. Frequently asked questions

What kind of videos should a hospital make?

Start with doctor explainers that answer the questions patients ask most often for your priority departments. Add a short hospital tour, doctor introductions and pre- and post-procedure guidance. Advertising films come later, once you have content that builds trust.

How long should a medical explainer video be?

For social media, 30 to 90 seconds works well for a single point. For YouTube and websites, two to five minutes allows a doctor to explain a condition or procedure properly. We usually film a longer version and cut shorter clips from it.

Can you film inside operation theatres?

Only with the hospital's permission, following its infection-control procedures and framed so that no patient can be identified. In many cases, animation or a demonstration in a non-clinical room explains a procedure just as well with less risk.

Do you make videos in Malayalam?

Yes. We produce videos in Malayalam, English and Arabic, and add subtitles in other languages where needed. Malayalam explainers are often the most useful for local patients and their families.

How much does medical video production cost?

Medical video is usually quoted per project or per batch of videos from a shoot day, and the scope depends on the number and length of videos, locations, animation, languages and subtitles, and the number of edited versions. Any ad spend is paid directly to Google or Meta. We send a written scope and quote after the free audit; see how our pricing works.

Who owns the video footage?

Ownership and usage rights are agreed in writing before the project begins. We normally propose that the final edited videos belong to the hospital. No footage in which a patient could be identified is used in public or promotional videos.
