Adserr provides ayurveda hospital marketing for treatment hospitals, clinics and wellness centres across Kerala. Ayurveda marketing has to serve two very different audiences: Keralites looking for treatment for back pain, arthritis or skin conditions near home, and visitors from the Gulf, Europe and other Indian states planning a residential programme. It also carries some of the strictest advertising risks in healthcare, so every claim we write is checked before it goes live.

How ayurveda patients and guests decide

Local patients usually come by family recommendation or after allopathic treatment has not fully helped. They search for a condition and a place: "ayurveda treatment for back pain Kochi", "ayurveda hospital near me", or Malayalam phrases such as "ayurveda chikitsa". They want a qualified physician, clean facilities and a clear idea of how many days of treatment they will need.

Karkidakam is its own season. During the Malayalam month of Karkidakam in the monsoon, many Keralites traditionally take rejuvenation treatment and special kanji. Search and enquiries peak, and clinics that plan content and packages early capture it.

International and domestic visitors start much earlier, often months ahead. They compare authenticity, the physician's credentials, accommodation, food, location and reviews on Google and travel platforms. Many want proof that a centre is a genuine treatment facility, not a spa offering massages under an ayurveda label.

Marketing challenges specific to ayurveda

  • Authenticity is hard to show online. Every resort in Kerala uses the word "ayurveda". Genuine hospitals need to make their physicians, classical treatments and treatment protocols visible.
  • Claims are tempting and risky. Patients ask "can ayurveda cure diabetes?" Answering that honestly without crossing into a cure claim takes care.
  • Seasonality. The international season and the monsoon Karkidakam season pull in different directions, so content and budgets need a calendar.
  • Multiple platforms. Google, travel sites, wellness directories and social media all matter, and reviews are spread across them.

AYUSH advertising rules to keep in mind

  • Drugs and Magic Remedies (Objectionable Advertisements) Act, 1954 applies to ayurveda just as it does to allopathy: no advertising that claims to cure or prevent the diseases and conditions listed in the Act, such as diabetes, cancer or infertility.
  • Rule 170 of the Drugs and Cosmetics Rules, 1945 required state approval for advertisements of ayurvedic, siddha and unani medicines. The AYUSH Ministry omitted it in 2024, the Supreme Court stayed that omission, and in 2025 the Court closed the case and lifted its stay. Because this area has changed repeatedly, confirm the current position with your legal adviser before advertising any medicine.
  • NCISM professional-conduct rules for registered ayurveda practitioners restrict self-promotion in ways similar to NMC rules for allopathic doctors.
  • NMC guidelines (6 October 2026) define a hospital as an establishment in "any recognised system of medicine" (clause 3.4), so ayurveda hospitals should plan for the same limits on inducements, testimonials and superiority claims, and check how they apply with a legal adviser.
  • Consumer Protection Act and ASCI code: "natural so no side effects", "permanent cure" and "100% safe" are claims that draw complaints.

What works in ayurveda hospital marketing

AudienceWhat works
Local patientsCondition pages written by your physicians, Google Business Profile, Malayalam video, family reviews
Karkidakam seasonContent and package pages published weeks before the month starts, WhatsApp updates to past patients who opted in
GCC and NRI familiesMalayalam and Arabic content, packages around school holidays, WhatsApp enquiry handling
European and long-haul guestsDetailed programme pages, physician profiles, daily-schedule descriptions, reviews on Google and travel platforms

Showing credentials matters. If your centre holds Kerala Tourism's Green Leaf or Olive Leaf classification or NABH accreditation, make it visible and explain what it means. Photos and short videos of real treatment rooms, the herb garden or the in-house pharmacy do more than stock images ever will.

Frequently asked questions

How do I market an ayurveda hospital to foreign patients?

Build detailed programme pages that explain treatments, duration, physician oversight, accommodation and food, and support them with honest video and reviews. Then reach guests through search, travel platforms and targeted ads well ahead of the season. Respond to enquiries quickly with a clear daily plan.

Can an ayurveda clinic say its treatment cures a disease?

Claiming to cure the conditions listed under the Drugs and Magic Remedies Act, such as diabetes or cancer, is prohibited for any system of medicine. You can describe the treatments you offer and how they aim to support wellbeing. Have medical claims reviewed by a legal adviser.

Is Rule 170 still in force for ayurveda advertising?

The rule was omitted by the AYUSH Ministry in 2024, and after a Supreme Court stay the Court closed the case in 2025. Because the position has changed several times, check the current status with your legal adviser before advertising medicines.

When should we start Karkidakam marketing?

Start publishing content and packages several weeks before the month begins, usually in June. People plan treatment days and leave from work in advance, so early visibility matters.

How much does ayurveda hospital marketing cost?

It depends on whether you market to local patients, international guests or both, how many programmes and locations you promote, which channels and languages you need, and the extra compliance review that ayurveda claims require. Any ad spend is paid directly to Google or Meta. We send a written scope and quote after the free audit; see how our pricing works.

Do you market ayurveda resorts as well as hospitals?

Yes, provided the centre offers genuine, physician-supervised treatment. We focus on making that treatment quality clear, which is what separates you from spa-style competitors.
