Google Business Profile management for hospitals means keeping every hospital and branch listing on Google Maps accurate, complete and well reviewed, and any doctor listings accurate, so nearby patients find you and call. Adserr manages Google Business Profiles for hospitals and clinics across Kochi and Kerala: we claim and verify listings, correct errors, choose the right categories, add services and photos, post updates, handle reviews and track the calls and WhatsApp messages your listing generates. The aim is a better chance of appearing in the Maps "3-pack", the three listings Google shows first, for the searches that matter to you.
Why Google Business Profile management matters for hospitals
For many patients, the Maps listing is the first and sometimes the only thing they look at. Someone with a feverish child at night types "paediatric hospital near me", sees three listings, checks the ratings and opening hours, and taps call. Your website may never be visited.
That makes the details critical. A wrong phone number, missing casualty hours or a pin dropped on the wrong road costs patients. In Kochi, where hospitals cluster along a few busy roads, small differences in category choice, completeness and reviews decide which three listings appear.
What our Google Business Profile management for hospitals includes
- Audit of all listings: the main hospital, each branch, departments where appropriate, and individual doctor listings that Google may have created automatically
- Claiming, verification and ownership: making sure your hospital owns its listings, not a former employee or vendor
- Duplicate and error clean-up: merging or removing duplicate listings and fixing wrong pins, numbers and names
- Category selection: a precise primary category and relevant secondary ones
- Services and attributes: departments, procedures, accessibility, languages and payment options
- Hours: OPD timings, 24-hour casualty, pharmacy and lab hours, and special hours for public holidays such as Onam and Vishu
- Photos and video: real images of the entrance, reception, facilities and parking that help patients find you
- Posts when there is news: a new service, doctor, camp or published guide, in Malayalam and English, without phone numbers, email addresses or social media handles in the post text (the post's Call button does that job)
- Chat and profile accuracy: adding a WhatsApp chat link where Google offers it, and keeping the description, services, hours and review replies accurate, because Google has been winding down the public questions-and-answers section (its API closed in November 2025)
- Review management: consent-based review requests and approved replies, connected to our reputation management service
- Tracking: calls, direction requests, website clicks and WhatsApp clicks from the listing
How Google Maps ranking works for hospitals, clinics and doctor listings
Google describes local ranking in terms of three factors: relevance (how well the listing matches the search), distance (how far the searcher is) and prominence (how well known the business is, including reviews, links and mentions). You cannot change your distance from a searcher, but you can improve relevance and prominence.
Our process
- Map the searches. We list the local searches that matter for each branch, such as "orthopaedic hospital Kalamassery" or "dental clinic near Edappally".
- Audit the competition. We look at who appears in the 3-pack for those searches and what their listings have that yours lacks.
- Fix and complete. Ownership, duplicates, categories, services, hours and photos are corrected first.
- Align the website. We make sure each branch has a matching page on your website with the same name, address and phone, which supports Maps ranking. See hospital SEO.
- Keep it current. New photos, posts when there is real news, and steady, genuine reviews keep the listing accurate and useful.
- Report monthly on visibility and actions taken by patients.

Who this service is for
- Clinics and polyclinics that depend almost entirely on nearby patients
- Physiotherapy clinics competing for "near me" searches
- Diagnostic centres with several collection points
- Multispecialty hospitals with branches, satellite clinics or many doctor listings
- Hospitals and clinics whose doctors' individual practitioner listings are wrong, duplicated or competing with the main listing
Compliance notes for Google Business Profiles
- Accurate naming. Google's guidelines require your real-world name. Adding keywords such as "Best Heart Hospital Kochi" to the name breaks those guidelines and can lead to suspension, and Google also does not allow the same name repeated in more than one script or language, even if your signboard shows both English and Malayalam.
- Honest reviews only. Buying reviews, offering discounts for reviews, or posting reviews from staff breaches Google's policies and may mislead consumers under consumer-protection rules.
- Patient privacy in replies. Replies must never confirm that a reviewer was a patient or mention their treatment, which matters for both medical ethics and the DPDP Act 2023.
- Posts follow advertising rules. GBP posts are public promotions, so the same limits apply: no cure claims, no superiority claims that are not objectively verifiable, no discount or free-treatment offers that push unnecessary care (NMC guidelines, clause 8.1(x)) and no sex-selection references for fertility services. A post that features a doctor should show the doctor's name, qualifications and registration number, which for medical doctors is the SMR/NMR number (Explanation IV). Google's guidelines also keep time-bound promotions, prices and direct calls to action out of the business description, and phone numbers, email addresses or social media links out of post text.
How we measure success
| Measure | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Calls from the listing | Patients ready to book or ask |
| WhatsApp and website clicks | Patients continuing their research |
| Direction requests | Patients planning to visit |
| 3-pack visibility | How often you appear in the top three for priority searches |
| Review count and rating trend | Prominence and patient trust |
| Searches showing your listing | Overall discovery |
We do not guarantee a top-three position. Distance and competition are outside anyone's control, but a complete, accurate and current profile gives you the best chance.
Why a Kochi agency for Maps visibility
Maps results are hyper-local. We are based opposite Aster Medcity, and we know the neighbourhoods, landmarks and road names patients use when they search in Kochi. That helps with everything from naming service areas to writing directions in posts. As a healthcare-only agency, we also know the review and privacy pitfalls specific to hospitals. Frequently asked questions
How do hospitals rank higher on Google Maps?
By having a complete, accurate and verified Google Business Profile with the right categories, consistent details across the web, real photos and a steady flow of genuine reviews with replies. A matching page on the hospital's website also helps. Distance from the searcher still plays a large part.
Should each doctor have their own Google listing?
Google allows individual practitioner listings, and sometimes creates them automatically. For doctors who work only within a hospital, it can be better to manage these carefully so they do not compete with the hospital's own listing. We review this case by case.
Why has our listing been suspended?
Common reasons include keyword stuffing in the name, a wrong address, duplicate listings or ownership disputes. We help gather evidence and request reinstatement through Google's process, though the final decision rests with Google.
Can you remove negative reviews?
Only Google can remove reviews, and only those that break its policies, such as spam or offensive content. We can flag such reviews and write calm, privacy-safe replies to genuine ones.
How much does Google Business Profile management cost?
It is usually a monthly retainer, on its own or combined with review management or SEO, and the scope depends on how many locations and doctor listings you have, how often you have news to post and photos to add, and how much clean-up the listings need at the start. Any ad spend is paid directly to Google or Meta. We send a written scope and quote after the free audit; see how our pricing works.
How often should we post on our Google Business Profile?
Post when there is something real to share: a new doctor or service, a camp date or seasonal health advice. Google's own list of ways to improve local ranking does not mention posts, so accuracy, categories, photos and genuine reviews matter far more than a weekly quota.
