Adserr is a clinic marketing agency for single-doctor clinics, family practices and polyclinics in Kochi and across Kerala. Clinic marketing is mostly local: patients pick someone close by, with good reviews, who is open when they need them. Our job is to make your clinic the obvious choice on Google Maps and WhatsApp within your area, while keeping every post and ad within NMC and Indian advertising rules.
How patients pick a clinic
A clinic visit is usually decided quickly, often the same day. The typical path:
- Something comes up: a child's fever, a sugar check, a back that won't settle.
- The person searches "doctor near me", "paediatrician open now" or a Malayalam phrase on their phone.
- They look at the Maps results, compare star ratings and the latest reviews, and check whether the clinic is open.
- They call or send a WhatsApp message. If nobody answers, they move to the next listing.
Repeat visits come from a different place: how the patient was treated, whether the prescription and follow-up were clear, and whether the clinic reminded them about the next check. A clinic that grows steadily usually does well on both: new patients from Maps and returning patients from good service.
Why clinic marketing is hard
You compete on a small map. A polyclinic in Kaloor and a family clinic in Thrikkakara compete with the few clinics nearest each patient, not with the whole city. Generic citywide campaigns waste money.
The doctor is the brand, but the NMC limits self-promotion. Patients want to know who they will see. You can share qualifications, registration number, experience areas and timings, but the NMC's October 2026 guidelines bar a doctor from self-promotion, soliciting patients and engaging a third party to market their services (clause 8.1(ii)), so for single-doctor clinics we keep work to factual clinic information and patient education, and suggest checking plans with a legal adviser.
Little time, no marketing staff. Most clinic owners are also the main doctor. Marketing has to be simple enough to run without taking hours from the OPD.
Phone and WhatsApp handling. A missed call is a lost patient. Many clinics lose more patients at the reception desk than they ever lose to competitors.
Rules that apply to clinics
- NMC Guidelines on Ethical Advertising and Public Communication (6 October 2026): factual information and formal announcements (starting practice, change of address or type of practice, temporary absence, fees) are fine; self-promotion, soliciting patients, comparative claims, testimonials and inducements are not, and posts should show the doctor's name, qualifications, registration status and SMR/NMR number (clauses 8.1, 8.2(ii) and Explanation III).
- Kerala Clinical Establishments rules require registration; your listing details should match your registration.
- Consumer Protection Act and ASCI code for any claim in an ad or post.
- DPDP Act, 2023 (its consent duties are being phased in) for reminders and WhatsApp broadcasts: collect consent at registration and offer a simple opt-out.
We flag anything uncertain and suggest checking with your legal adviser rather than guessing.
What works for clinics
- A complete Google Business Profile. Correct category, hours (including Sunday and holiday hours), services, photos of the entrance and waiting area, and a WhatsApp button.
- A steady flow of reviews. Ask every patient the same neutral way after the visit, for example with a QR card at the reception desk or a follow-up message to patients who agreed to be contacted, never selectively and never with pressure. The request should come from the clinic, not the doctor (NMC guidelines, Explanation V). Reply to every review without confirming any medical details.
- A one-page website that books. Doctor details, services, timings, a map and a tap-to-call button. Speed matters more than design flourishes.
- Small, tight ad areas. Google ads limited to a 3–5 km radius for your key services, in Malayalam and English.
- Recall and reminders. Consent-based WhatsApp reminders for diabetes reviews, vaccinations and follow-ups.
- Local partnerships. Health talks for residents' associations, schools and offices, kept educational rather than promotional, since the NMC's October 2026 guidelines say doctors' awareness work must not solicit patients.

What Adserr does for clinics
We keep clinic marketing lean. A typical setup covers:
- Google Business Profile management: categories, services, posts, photo updates and accurate profile details.
- Reputation management: a review-request process for your reception team, plus reply drafts that protect patient privacy.
- Clinic website design: a fast, mobile-first site with doctor profiles, timings and appointment links.
- Local search ads through our healthcare advertising service when you want faster growth for a particular service.
- A simple monthly report showing calls, direction requests, WhatsApp chats and new reviews.
Polyclinics with several specialists get a page and a Maps strategy for each specialty, so a dermatologist and a paediatrician in the same building are both findable. If you want accurate, consistent profiles for each of your doctors, our doctor branding work fits alongside. For a do-it-yourself start, read our clinic marketing ideas.
Why choose a healthcare-only clinic marketing agency
Clinic marketing looks simple, which is why many clinics hand it to a general designer or a relative. The mistakes are usually small but costly: a review reply that discusses a patient's condition, an ad that implies a guaranteed cure, or a WhatsApp list built without consent. We work only in healthcare, in Malayalam and English, from an office in Kochi's hospital belt.
Frequently asked questions
How can a small clinic get more patients?
Fix your Google Business Profile first, then build a steady review habit and make sure every call and WhatsApp message gets answered. Those three steps usually do more than any ad campaign. Add small local ads once the basics are in place.
Is Google Maps more important than a website for a clinic?
For most clinics, yes. Patients decide from the Maps listing and often call without visiting the website. A simple, fast website still helps, because Google uses it to understand your services and patients use it to check doctor details.
Can a clinic run Facebook and Instagram ads?
Yes, with care. Ads should be factual, should not promise outcomes and must follow Meta's healthcare ad policies and Indian rules. For a clinic run by a single doctor, the NMC's October 2026 guidelines bar self-promotion and engaging a third party to market the doctor's services (clause 8.1(ii)), so keep ads to factual clinic information such as services, timings and location, and take legal advice first. Avoid before-after images and testimonials.
How much does clinic marketing cost?
It depends on how many locations and specialties you have and whether you run ads. We explain what affects cost on our pricing page and give a clear written quote after a free hospital Google visibility audit.
Can you market a clinic outside Kochi?
Yes. Most of the work is online, so we support clinics across Kerala. Clinics in and around Ernakulam can also meet us in person at our office.
